Shibari is the ancient Japanese art of bondage.

What if the ropes go beyond the surface of performative sexuality? What if there is potential to go to the nuanced subtleties and bring our vulnerable parts out? What if we feel held by the ropes and safe for the first time to surrender and let down our guards?

In most of my 1:1 sessions, people experience a form of transformation. Trauma is not stored in the mind, but in the body. So a lot of people keep circling with talking therapy only.

This is why I combine it with the somatic approach of Shibari.

This workshop explores the therapeutic aspects of Shibari, focusing on how it can be used for emotional release, healing, and personal transformation.

We learn trauma-sensitive tools to create a safer space where connection and vulnerability can unfold.

You will learn tools on how to make someone feel comfortable to surrender and learn what aspects of the setting can promote an atmosphere of trust.

After learning the essential knots, there will be room to experiment and hold Shibari sessions for each other in a guided container.

The environment is a safer and loving space where we emphasize the connection that establishes between the polarities. It will be with clothes on and without involving sexuality.

You can come on your own or already with a partner you would like to share this experience with.

No previous experience is required.
