CONSCIOUS SHIBARI WORKSHOP
Focus: "Aesthetic Shibari Photography: Take Your Pictures Home"
The workshop includes:
- Learning Shibari binding techniques
- Photographer and pictures for you to use
- Emotional and physical safety
- Small sessions with each other, including role reversal
- Embodied partner exercises
- Handout
In this workshop, we capture the interactions between humans and ropes with photography, where art, consciousness, connection, respect, freedom, and beauty converge.
You will learn new Shibari tying techniques, where we focus on aesthetics. We incorporate embodied partner exercises to deepen trust and intimacy. You will do Shibari sessions in pairs, where you can connect, play, and apply the newly learned Shibari techniques.
Throughout the workshop, our photographers will capture the Shibari art, the emotions that emerge, and the beauty that reveals in connection. By participating in this specific photography workshop, you will receive the created photography content and consent to the sharing of these pictures. Of course, you can ask for certain pictures to be deleted. We celebrate the artistry, connection, and creativity that blossoms during the workshop.
(If you prefer a more private experience or have concerns about your images being published, you can book a private Shibari photography session with me or join any other workshop.)
To enhance the purity and aesthetics of this event, we invite all participants to wear white, light cream, or beige colours. Please bring your own clothing and feel free to accessorise with sensual items like flowers and feathers. If you don't have any bright clothing, please let me know in advance and I can see to provide you some.
If you have Shibari ropes, please bring them along. For those who don't, we will provide ropes to borrow or buy.
You can come as an individual or with a partner. No previous experience is required.
